Save the Glaciers...I mean Polar Bears
My eyes have finally been opened today! I feel as though I have been living in a haze of denial that there is hope for all people. I was wrong. There just is no hope for some people. According to a blog I found on DailyKos.com, on March 16, 2011, ALL 31 Republican representatives on the House Energy and Commerce Committee took a giant step...the first step, also known as denial. They deny any existence of climate change. Actually, 30 of them adamantly denied it and 1 couldn't say either way. They were simply asked to say that science has unequivocally proven the warming of the climate. Obviously it is a bit more involved than that, I definitely recommend researching the story. I do not however recommend the blog that I read. I'm pretty new to this "living room journal" style of communication. I am not even sure if there is a "right way" to create these entries or if it truly is solely up to the mind creating it. I haven't read a single blog outside of this class...ever. I was just disappointed with the lack of personal input on this person's blog. There were so many other peoples work listed in the center of HIS page, I lost where his thought ended and a different person's began. I'm assuming his target audience is a general net of democrats. I don't believe age necessarily matters in such topics, just common sense. jamess (the author of this blog), had some good comments that I finally found after I scrolled through everyone elses work. I definitely agreed with everything he said, be it all minimal, even found his dry humor and sarcasm to be right up my alley. The idea that these Republicans...nae, these people, can deny what is right there in front of them, is so mind blowing to me. I mean, have they never heard of the mile long glacier that went floating past Australia? Or how about a little closer to home with New York City having extreme heat waves at a time they should be enjoying beautiful breezy days with highs in the low seventies. He definitely had some good one liners on his page. I guess it just came down to the structure of it all. Ah well, to each your own and we shall all live happily ever after, with no polar bears and in 150 degree heat.
